“Defensa del Corte UCLA”, por Eduardo Burgos


En esta defensa se hace muy importante hablar, ser agresivos y anticiparnos. Intervienen en ella por lo general un base, un alero y un pivot. Gráficos nºs 1, 2 y 3.

El defensor de 1 pasa por el lado del balón. Lo hace así porque ha tenido que contestar el pase de 1 a 2 (saltar hacia el balón). Gráfico 1.

Si 1 corta por el lado del balón su defensor le anticipa. Si lo hace lejos del balón el defensor de 4 realiza body-cheeck para que su compañero lo pueda tomar. Gráfico 2.

Cuando el alero pasa al pívot después va a bloquear al base que sale al exterior, este bloqueo lo defenderemos pasando de tercer hombre. El defensor del pasador es responsable de las puertas-atrás. Gráfico 3.

Indudablemente pueden existir otras formas de defender el famoso Corte de UCLA (para gustos los colores), pero yo les indico aquí la que en líneas generales la defensa con los diferentes equipos que he entrenado me ha dado mejores resultados.
